Stress & Anxiety: Frequently Asked Questions
Anxiety and stress are a normal part of life; anxiety may leave you unhappy and unable to connect with colleagues, family, and friends. You may not want to engage in conversation whenever someone questions, “How are You? You reply I’m okay.
You may feel anxious in life and at work because of deadlines or family stresses, but this is a normal part of everyday life.
But some people find it difficult to switch off and start to take work home or find themselves playing over the same thoughts and events, which can lead to other health conditions.
Common anxiety symptoms:
- Panic Disorder
- Phobias such as agoraphobia or claustrophobia
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia)
Stress can cause us to feel overwhelmed and, at times, out of control. IT could be at work as your boss is giving you more duties, and as the day gets later, you have to stay late to get things done by a specific deadline.
As your children age and fly the nest, you may still worry constantly, and if you have elderly parents, this is another factor that adds worry and stress as you have to play the caregiver now.
What are the main symptoms of stress?
- angry, bad-tempered, grumpy, and uptight
- overwhelmed or overloaded
- uneasy, tense or afraid
- uninterested in life
- feeling of loneliness, constant feeling of apprehension
When you are feeling anxious or stressed, your brain floods your nervous system with adrenaline and cortisol, you may have heard of the term fight or flight, meaning that in times of anxiety and stress, you may feel overwhelmed.
Cortisol helps to regulate:
- blood pressure
- blood sugar levels
- sleep cycles
The Adrenal Gland produces cortisol in response to a physical threat, like an injury, or a mental threat, like a deadline, but being exposed to it for too long can lead to a chronic stress response which can contribute to:
- high blood pressure
- weight gain
During your RTT Session, I will help you understand how a life event and the feelings you have associated with the scene have affected your life.
When you understand how the brain has interpreted the events, and with my expertise and knowledge, I can help you to leave the thoughts behind and give you tools to use, including self-hypnosis.
My expertise is in Anxiety and Stress, and I will help you feel free, have you look forward to the future, and start planning the future and can help improve your relationships and give your back your sense of belonging in the world.
If you are in physical pain or feel hurt and scarred emotionally, RTT Hypnotherapy aims to give you permanent change in one to three sessions in person or online.
The body can heal itself using Cell Command Therapy, move away from pain, and turn fear into excitement.
